For many years I lived in Southeastern Massachusetts and was influenced by the nearby city of New Bedford and the whaling history that filled the area. Scrimshaw was a big part of it and sooner or later I had to try my hand at it.
I have been making scrimshaw as a full time profession for over 30 years. My pieces are in private collections, fine gift shops, catalogs and galleries.
I am now living in the beautiful state of Maine and enjoying it every day. I still do the traditional nautical scenes, but also include wildlife and florals.
